
Bowling Green Medical Group is in the process of applying for the Missouri Substance Use Disorder Grant Program.
This grant would assist us in reducing barriers to Substance Use & Mental Health disorder recovery for our local communities. With this grant, we can establish new and/or expand strategies that reduce barriers to accessing recovery supports and services for substance abuse disorders, including those who have co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. Facilitating recovery and wellness which contributes to an improved quality of life for those impacted.
We are seeking key project stakeholders to assist with increasing support and assisting to ensure efforts are continued to enhance the lives of residents of our communities.
MO SUD GRANT PROGRAM GOAL AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
The goal of the SUD Grant Program is to improve health outcomes and prevent and reduce the prevalence of substance use disorders (SUDs) and/or drug-related harms, including overdose.
We can make this happen by supporting programs and services that increase access to evidence-based, low-barrier drug addiction treatment, overdose prevention education, job placement, housing, and counseling for those with SUDs.
This grant program aligns with the following DHSS State Health Improvement Plan strategic priorities:
a. Whole Person Health Access;
b. Fostering Healthy Behaviors; and
c. Infant and Maternal Health.
